In AYY’s apartments, a new resident is obliged to inspect the apartment’s condition within one week of receiving the keys. If you do not fill in the housing inspection form, you will be sanctioned a fee whose amount is determined by the Housing Committee.
The housing inspection is done for the resident’s own legal protection, so that they will not be held responsible for damages caused by the previous residents. No repair or cleaning work is ordered based on the housing inspection.
Report minor defects that require fixing (e.g. a loose power socket) directly to the maintenance company, who will come in to fix these without costs to the resident. Any larger defects, damages or shortages (e.g. a bigger hole in the wall, blatant flaws with the moving-out clean) must be reported to AYY real estate immediately.

Capping these connections is the resident’s responsibility.
Please remember that dishwashers must be installed by a professional, and if you remove the kitchen cabinet to make room for a dishwasher, you must replace the cabinet and restore the kitchen into its previous condition when you move out of the apartment. Only if the apartment’s next occupant agrees to take the dishwasher as their responsibility can the dishwasher be left in place and the kitchen left unrestored.
